Get to Know
Dr. Tad Morgan

Dr. Morgan has been practicing dentistry since 1997, and over that span of time, he’s developed a strong passion for helping patients overcome lip and tongue-ties in particular. Today, he’s proud to have a specialty practice with one affiliate and two ambassadors of The Breathe Institute in one convenient location. There’s no other office like it in the country!

For him, the best part of this job by far is seeing the amazing, life-changing results that follow his patients’ appointments. So many of them come back saying that they never realized just how much their tongue or lip-tie was negatively impacting their wellbeing, and that positive transformation is always rewarding. If you’d like to learn more about him, just keep reading below.

Why Did You Decide to Focus on Tongue-Tie Treatment?

Dr. Morgan’s kids struggled with airway problems that led to ADHD symptoms. As they progressed through oral myofunctional therapy, he saw that their improvement was limited because of present tongue ties. The dentists he knew doing tongue-tie release at the time were doing a quick “clip and go” technique that took, at most, five minutes. He then decided to dig deeper into the functional frenuloplasty technique and the unique benefits it could offer, which eventually led to him being personally trained by Dr. Zaghi, the leading tongue-tie surgeon in the country. Today, he has patients coming from out of town and even outside of Texas to have their release expertly performed!

Where Did You Study Lip & Tongue-Tie Treatment?

After attending Abilene Christian University, Dr. Morgan pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry. He also completed a General Practice Residency at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, an Orthotropic Mini residency with Dr. Bill Hang, and continuing education with the world-renowned Pankey Institute.

As for lip and tongue-tie treatment, Dr. Morgan has undergone extensive, state-of-the-art training with Dr. Soroush Zaghi regarding functional frenuloplasties – in fact, he was the first dentist personally trained in an office by Dr. Zaghi! Today he is a proud affiliate and faculty member for The Breathe Institute. He is also a member of the following organizations:

  • International Affiliation of Tongue-Tie Professionals
  • American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry
  • Academy of Airway and Gnathologic Orthopedics
  • Academy of General Dentistry
  • American Dental Association
  • Texas Dental Association

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
